Gainfield Elementary (1941) is the district’s oldest building and presents significant challenges:
The building contains seven staircases and no elevator, resulting in limited accessibility between floors
Aging roof, plumbing, electrical, septic, and windows
Undersized art, music, cafeteria, and kitchen spaces
Narrow corridors and inflexible layout
Aging modular classrooms
Although the building continues to serve students well, its age and configuration limit adaptability and efficiency.
